If you’ve ever attended a fundraiser, auction or community event in the Santa Maria Valley, chances are you heard the unmistakable voice of Jim Glines —booming from the microphone, rallying the crowd and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for causes he believed in.
Though Glines died earlier this year at the age of 82, his legacy is very much alive, woven into nearly every corner of the community he so deeply loved.
