KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Extreme heat on Saturday had the NWSL push back kickoff for the KC Current game against the Orlando Pride from 3 p.m. to nearly 6:30 p.m. Fans like Kirsten Ross want answers and change after they were left in the sun for hours.
“We have no issues with the team,” said Ross. “The team did the best they could with what they were given. We want to know why the league didn’t call the game sooner because anyone in KC knows it was going to be hot. We’ve been in a heat advisory for days. Our concern is why wasn’t this called earlier in the day?”
Ross has been a KC Current fan since the beginning and founding member of the KC Blue Crew, one of the official support groups of the KC Current. She is now the group’s president. She got to CPKC Stadium on Saturday before the g
