President Donald Trump is vowing to end the use of mail-in ballots ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, the president wrote: “Elections can never be honest with mail-in ballots/voting, and everybody, in particular the Democrats, knows this.”

The president has often claimed without proof that mail-in ballots lead to voter fraud.

Trump also said he is drafting an executive order to ban the use of these ballots.

Meanwhile, the president has also pressured a couple of states to redistrict their borders to ensure Republicans have a better shot ahead of the midterms.

Michael Waldman, the president of the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.
