Margarita Island welcomed a total of 551 Russian tourists, thanks to the reactivation of operations and air routes between the two nations, which seeks to boost inbound tourism and consolidate the country as a globally recognized destination.
The efforts made by the Minister of Tourism, Leticia Gómez, and representatives of Venezuelan Tourism (Venetur) in the Eurasian country culminated in the arrival of this new group of visitors who will enjoy the attractions of Nueva Esparta and other destinations.
451 tourists arrived on a charter flight operated by Pegas Touristik, and the remaining visitors arrived on the island on a flight operated by the state-owned airline Conviasa.
The Bolivarian Government, through its Ministry of Tourism, is working to reactivate these air routes and promote
