New Hampshire State Police are conducting what they described as an "active investigation" in Madbury, New Hampshire, on Monday night.
In a social media post shortly after 9:30 p.m., state police said they are at a scene on Moharimet Drive, and that residents in the area should anticipate a police presence for "multiple hours."

They said additional details will be released as appropriate.
Aerial footage from the scene showed numerous police vehicles on what appeared to be a residential street.
Madbury, a town of fewer than 2,000 residents, is located in Strafford County, just one town over from the University of New Hampshire.
