The 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship is underway in South Korea and of the 22 players on the Puerto Rican National team, three of them are from Connecticut.
“You know, it means more than just playing lacrosse,” said Meriden native Gabe Carrero, who has Puerto Rican heritage on both his mom and dad’s sides of the family. “It's representing a part of who I am, representing my family, representing an island I love.”
