Brush fire quickly contained near Newport Highway

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Fire District 4 crews responded to a smoke investigation near N Newport Hwy and E Elk to Hwy Rd today.

They found a 50-by-50-foot brush fire, which they quickly contained using a wet line. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
