SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Construction on the Highway 11 bridge near Campobello in Spartanburg County will start soon, as state transportation officials plan to replace the deteriorating structure.
The bridge, which spans over I-26, has been a source of concern for local residents due to its poor condition and numerous temporary fixes.
The replacement project is scheduled to start on September 3 and continuing into early October.
"If you don't know exactly where you're going, you're going to bust your tire every single time you go across that bridge," said Orrazze Bussey, a Spartanburg County resident.
