CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Washington Commanders in their first preseason win of 2025 on Monday night.
The final score was 31-17.
The Commanders held the lead for a portion of the first quarter but the Bengals quickly bounced back and stayed ahead.
Running back Chase Brown scored the Bengals’ first touchdown and Quarterback Joe Burrow and backup Jake Browning took control of the game before halftime.
Burrow’s touchdown pass to wide receiver Charlie Jones tied the game up.
Just seconds into the last minute of the first half, Bengals wide receiver Mitch Tinsley (who spent the 2023 and 2024 season with the Commanders) grabbed touchdown catches from Browning that put the Bengals into a 28-14 halftime lead.
