BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC)— In a community that is growing, and growing fast, a proposed airport in the Bryan County community is something officials and residents cannot quite agree on.

Monday afternoon, the newly appointed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority held its first meeting before a room of residents.

A meeting full of remarks, and questions about this proposed airport project.

Questions about funding, location, and necessity all continue to come up throughout the conversations.

At the same time residents say they fear they will be left footing the bill for an airport they may never use.

Although the authority has continued to mention federal aviation grants that may help with the funding.
