WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Sedgwick County leaders are looking into making more changes to a dangerous intersection after another deadly crash.
The intersection is West 29th Street and North 135th Street. Leaders are even considering adding safety improvements in the form of message boards as soon as this week.
One neighbor KSN spoke to wants more because, for her, the dangers of the intersection are personal.
"A friend of ours was killed on that corner. And that's what made it a two-way stop in the first place," Judy Wetzel said.
Wetzel says that the crash opened her eyes to the danger at the intersection.
"Three years ago, the police officer was killed on that corner, and there's something that we need to address," she said.
