German athletic wear company Adidas has finally responded to the growing population of Aussiedler Mennonites in the country with the introduction of a new line of long denim skirts.

“You can’t really play tennis in them,” said Adidas spokesperson Aganetha Penner, “but you can bump a volleyball in the church parking lot like nobody’s business.”

The new long denim skirts are inspired by the fashion of plain dress Mennonites and similar groups, but Penner is hoping others may adopt the new trend.

“You don’t have to be a Denimite to enjoy denim,” said Penner. “Just look at me. I haven’t had so much attention from the Enns boys in ages.”
