GODDARD, Kan. (KSNW) — Goddard head football coach Tommy Beason's Lions have come a long way since their 0-9 season in 2022.
Last year marked a few milestones, including handing eventual 4A state champion Andover Central its only loss of the season. Beason's group finished 6-3 last year, good for third place in the AVCTL, but a first-round playoff exit to Valley Center means this group is hungry for change.
"We're ready to eat," senior defensive end Trey Wright said. "We've been out here all summer putting in work. I like to see the team-building and chemistry we have going into this year."
