Collective criticizes state for colleague’s perceived intimidation
The collective #YoSíSoyPeriodista has condemned what it calls the “unacceptable” use of judicial intimidation against journalist Dianeth Pérez Arreola by Baja California authorities. The group states that authorities are attempting to force her to reveal her sources for a question she asked during a morning press conference with Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda—a question that was not even answered.
“Journalists in Baja California will not allow a precedent of this kind to be set without resistance,” the collective said in a statement.
