LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — From heavy boxes to emotional goodbyes, UNL students are finally back on campus as the first move-in day kicked off Sunday.

And this year, University Housing and Dining Services launched an all drive-through move-in process where students have their items unloaded for them, and delivered straight to their rooms.

Executive Director, Lucas Novotny, said they have more than one thousand volunteers helping, and families say it’s a welcome change.

“Every student that we’ve talked to, every family that we’ve talked to so far, I think they’re a little anxious,” he said. “But I think they’re super excited that they don’t have to do a thing.
