During the week of Aug. 4-9, these dedicated volunteers helped harvest and donate 1,477 pounds (four small pickup loads) of healthy fresh produce that was shared with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and the Waverly Pantry at Heritage Methodist Church. So far over 6,000 pounds have been donated from the Waverly Community Sharing Garden and Orchard site on Second Street SW. This is the 15th year of a joint project between the city of Waverly and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach-Bremer County office in Tripoli.
