In September the 117th chapter year begins and the 250th anniversary of this nation draws nearer. During the upcoming year members of the Revolutionary Dames chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will continue to volunteer in their communities and participate in activities that focus on the mission pillars of historical preservation, education and patriotism.

On Sept. 2, the chapter registrar and member of the ISDAR Volunteer Genealogists Committee will share information about DAR resources for genealogy at the Waverly Area Veterans Post during the meeting of the Bremer County Genealogical Society.
