Neighbours fear they will be subjected to “violent” behaviours should new late-night restaurant open in a former Leicester party shop. Party Time shut its Melton Road store at the end of June following 30 years of trade with plans for a new use unveiled earlier this month.

Applicant Arvind Faquir is seeking permission from Leicester City Council to set up a new restaurant there. The business, which is set to be called Spice Fusion, would offer breakfasts and “ late night refreshment ”.
