A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Leicester . Police were called by the East Midlands Ambulance Service to reports of an incident in Danvers Road, Westcotes, at 10.25am on Sunday (August 17).

The alleged incident is reported to have happened inside a property in Danvers Road and left one person - a man in his 20s - with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital and he is continuing to receive treatment, according to officers.

Two men were arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday. In an update issued today (Tuesday, August 19), police said it had charged Lonel Cutitaru with attempted murder.
