President Donald Trump has yet to present facts to bolster his claim that mail-in ballots constitute a hoax, but has vowed to make the end of voting by mail a national movement, largely through signing another executive order.
He definitely will hear from Hawaii voters who like their vote-by-mail system. For those who don’t like it, the scheme also enables an in-person voting option at specific centers. It helps those who have trouble with a conventional polling-place schedule.
Flaws can be addressed, but basically, if it isn’t broken don’t “fix” it — out of existence.
