BARRY COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -A man from Shell Knob, Mo., has died after two boats collided on Table Rock Lake Monday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near Viola at around 1:45 p.m.

Troopers said a 2015 Regal Open Motorboat was headed south when it collided with a Jon Boat headed north. Both were meeting on the Kings River arm of Table Rock Lake.

The driver of the Jon Boat, a 57-year-old man from Shell Knob, Mo., died. An occupant of the Regal Open Motorboat, a 63-year-old woman from Lone Tree, Colorado, sustained serious injuries. The driver of the motorboat, a 61-year-old man from Cassville, Mo., was uninjured, according to troopers.

This is Troop D’s third boating fatality for 2025.
