The Lions are expecting cornerback Terrion Arnold to take a big leap forward in his second season. How much of a leap could be a factor in determining just how much better the Lions' pass defense can be in 2025.
Arnold started 15 games for the Lions last season after Detroit moved up in the first round to take him with the 24th overall pick. He was a starter on the outside from Day 1 as a rookie, playing in 91 percent of the defensive reps and allowing just a 55.6 completion percentage in his coverage area with four touchdowns allowed.
He struggled early with some penalty issues but cleaned those up by the end of the season and had solid numbers that included 60 tackles (47 solo) and 10 passes defended.
