Lebanese heritage and culture were on display over the weekend as families and visitors gathered to celebrate the 42nd annual Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine festival in Leamington.

Hanna Tannous, vice-president of the Leamington Lebanese Club, said the three-day festival is a chance for families to come together and honour their roots.

“This is a day where families can enjoy music, food, dancing, and most importantly, pray together,” Tannous told the Star. “They come together every year to reconnect and celebrate.”

The festival draws people from across Canada and the United States, as far as Chicago, making it a reunion of sorts for many families.
