The Metro Region champions ended up getting the best of the Midwest representatives last night. South Dakota led early with an RBI single from Kenson Henderson. But Fairfield’s bats exploded late, scoring ten runs in the sixth to win it 13-1. Now, Sioux Falls faces Bonney Lake, Washington as the Northwest in an elimination game set for 6 p.m. Central on ESPN. South Dakota will have to win three straight games starting tonight to make it to the U.S. title game out of the loser’s bracket.
