Windsor’s Ford City was alive with motion and music Saturday as thousands claimed the neighbourhood for the annual Dropped on Drouillard street festival.
Large crowds moved through the 900 and 1000 blocks of Drouillard Road — the heart of Ford City — to enjoy live bands, local artisans, food vendors, skateboarders, and an urban circus show.
Classic cars added a nostalgic touch, while families also enjoyed street performances throughout the day.
“This is our yearly cultural and urban street festival,” said Shane Potvin, chair of the Ford City BIA. “Every year it gets bigger. All the businesses open their doors to bring something special to the street.”
The festival has become a snapshot of the neighbourhood’s transformation.
