Each season, there seems to be new denim silhouette taking over the market. Last year, it was b arrel jeans . Before that, skinny jeans tried (and failed, sorry Alix Earle) to make a come back. And there are always good ol’ boot cuts. However, most of the time, these pants can’t beat a pair of classic , straight-leg jeans. The one that celebrities like Dakota Johnson love to throw on when they are out and about being normal, snapped by paparazzis. That doesn’t mean, though, that they are easy to shop for.

That being said, the Cut team narrowed down one pair of straight-leg jeans courtesy of Madewell. Generally: Everyone recommended sizing up. Especially with straight leg jeans, sizing up with allow you to have a more low-waist, slouchy fit.
