In January, Aubrey Plaza’s husband, indie filmmaker Jeff Baena , died by suicide at age 47. Baena and Plaza, who got married in 2021 after ten years of dating, separated a few months before he died. Now, Plaza is opening up about her journey with grief. In an episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast that came out on Tuesday, Plaza spoke about how she’s feeling seven months later.

“Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,” Plaza said. “Overall, I’m here, and I’m functioning, and I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I’m okay, but it’s like a daily struggle, obviously.”
