Winter Park has ruled its district in football for most of the past nine years. The Wildcats have won six district titles and made eight playoff appearances in that span.

They have gone 26-2 in district play since 2015, which is the last time Boone was able to defeat Winter Park.

Boone would like to change this trajectory. The Braves came close last year, losing a 35-28 thriller on a late Winter Park touchdown. This season marks the 10th anniversary of the last time Boone was able to defeat Winter Park. Boone has lost seven straight to the Wildcats.
