MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins made the surprising addition Monday of agreeing to terms with talented, decorated outside linebacker Matthew Judon, despite already having a stout Big 3 of pass rushers in Chop Robinson, Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips.
The move to add to a perceived position of strength was made despite still having what is viewed as a hole with the team’s cornerbacks unit.
But maybe the Dolphins feel the best way to help their cornerbacks is to disrupt the passer as much as possible with a deep group of edge rushers.
“You can’t have enough of those guys,” Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said Tuesday. “He’s a guy, with the skillset he has, his physical presence, can win on the edge with both power, has a mean power-rip move, really good hand-fighter.
