BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – A $128 million airport could be coming to Bryan County. For the first time, the newly formed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority met in Richmond Hill Monday afternoon, kicking off the next phase of the project.
However, while the project has been approved, not everyone is on board with where it is headed or how much it could cost. Yesterday's meeting was a packed house filled with concerned residents wanting more details on the airport project.
Bryan County has about 34 registered aircraft, but no local airport. This is just one of the reasons officials say a new one is needed. The Richmond Hill–Bryan County Airport Authority is launching plans for what could become one of the region's largest projects.
Corey Foreman, who lives in Bryan County and is
