ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A Lanham man is under arrest after multiple reports of a man firing a gun from his car while traveling on I-97 in Anne Arundel County. Jose Gregario Cruz-Mendoza is charged multiple firearm charges as well as driving while impaired and reckless endangerment.

Maryland State Police troopers received several reports of shots being fired from a Ford Excursion around 4:30 p.m. The Ford had Maryland tags and was traveling on MD Route 97 and later on Route 50 in Annapolis.

With help from the Anne Arundel County Police Department and Sheriff's Office, troopers located the Ford Excursion and pulled the driver over. Cruz-Mendoza was the only on in the car.
