LAUREL, Md. — Two police officers were not held responsible for the death of a man they shot at during a domestic violence call in November 2024. The man shot himself, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said.

Tyree Winslow, 29, tried to break into a house by firing a shotgun through its front door. A person called 911 around 3 p.m. Nov. 30, 2024, and reported the shots. Howard County Police officers Christopher Weir and Joseph Debronzo responded to the home on the 10000 block of American Pharoah Lane in Laurel.

Before police arrived, Winslow was able to get into the house through a first floor window. When they got there, Weir and Debronzo saw Winslow in an upstairs window. According to a press release, they ordered him to show his hands, but he did not. Both him and the officers b
