MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A trial date was set Monday for a man accused of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend at Shelby Farms Park before leading law enforcement agencies on a multi-county chase last year.
Jackson Hopper, 27, is set to stand trial on Feb. 9, 2026.

He is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Ellie Young, last October at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. Authorities had previously said he then led deputies on a pursuit that ended in with his capture in Dyer County.
