Attorney General Bailey’s office announced Monday that Bailey would be stepping down from his role, effective Sept. 8. Bailey has accepted a new federal position, where he will serve as co-deputy director of the FBI.
Kehoe named Catherine Hanaway as his replacement and 45th attorney general for the state of Missouri.
“The role of Attorney General is incredibly significant for state government, serving as the chief legal officer of the state, and there is not a more qualified person to serve Missourians as our next Attorney General than Catherine Hanaway,” Kehoe said.
