“The Price Is Right” wants you to “come on down” to Hollywood to audition for the country’s longest-running TV game show.
For the second consecutive year, CBS Miami (WFOR-TV) is teaming up with Toyota of Hollywood for a casting call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, in the dealership’s showroom.
“The Price Is Right” originally ran from 1956 to 1965 before being revamped and revived in 1972. That’s when Bob Barker became the show’s host until his retirement in 2007 and was succeeded by stand-up comedian/sitcom star Drew Carey taking over the frontman duties the same year.
Participants will get one minute to audition in front of a camera, and two semi-finalists will have the opportunity to see the show live in Los Angeles and potentially be selected to play the game.
