The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has continued to face backlash across the country, despite a massive hiring push which saw 100,000 applications to join the ranks according to the Department of Homeland Security. ICE was slammed for reportedly detaining a disabled 15-year-old boy at gunpoint and for a raid in Monrovia at a Home Depot, where a man died fleeing federal agents. In California, the Trump administration was criticized by Governor Gavin Newsom for ICE's presence at a news conference he hosted.
