MARTINSBURG — The day before students arrived for the first day of school, Burke Street Elementary School celebrated its new renovations.

After experiencing a fire, the school was rebuilt in 1929 and has played a big part in the Martinsburg community for many years. However, it was clear that it needed some major upgrades.
