Observations: Brian Branch looks like a heat-seeking missile in Lions’ scrimmage

ALLEN PARK -- Brian Branch was a menace across the Detroit Lions’ scrimmage in the rain on Tuesday.

The offense and defense traded blows, but Branch was a problem whenever he was on the field.

Branch set the tone early, when Jameson Williams caught a slant over the middle. The hard-hitting safety pulled back. But let’s say if this were an opposing team, there would have been fireworks.

The versatile defensive back then opened a drive with a clean sack of Jared Goff off the blitz. He was untouched, but not because someone missed him.
