HUNTINGTON, Texas (KETK)-- The Huntington Police Department is cracking down on unpaid traffic violations and is beginning to issue arrest warrants to those who have unpaid fines.

The department said they have issued a total of 1,026 arrest warrants to those who have unpaid traffic tickets dating back to Jan.1, 2020. According to the department, the unpaid fines amount to over $379,000.

The department said they will soon post the names of those who have warrants on the police department's Facebook page.

If anyone believes they may have an unpaid ticket that turned into a warrant, they can contact the Huntington City Court at 936-422-4195.
