TOWN OF SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- The long-awaited Hopkins Road Park upgrade is finally moving forward in the Town of Salina.
"The plan here is to put turf in that will allow us to play longer and allow some of the folks to get out and enjoy those shoulder seasons that they typically can't play in," Brian Kelley, Onondaga County Parks Commissioner, said.
The multi-million dollar project will feature two regulation baseball and softball diamonds, along with fields for soccer, lacrosse, football and field hockey. Those fields can also convert into smaller fields for youth soccer, Kelley said.
All of it will be lit up with scoreboards, bleachers and stadium seating.
