AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - For the second time in weeks, an Israeli flag has been stolen from the front of a local synagogue.

It happened at the Congregation Children of Israel, 3005 Walton Way.

In the latest incident, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday released a photo of someone “wanted for questioning.”

He’s shown on a surveillance photo wearing flip-flops, a black Speedo, a red motorcycle helmet – and nothing else.

The photo is dated 6:11 a.m. Tuesday.

In the previous theft, announced in June, the thief rode a bicycle and also wore a helmet, in this case black.
