An Alaskan man says he received a new Ural motorcycle from Russian President Vladimir Putin after his recent visit with President Donald Trump .
"I thought it was a hoax," Mark Warren, who lives in Bird Creek, told Alaska's News Source .
The gift was accompanied by a letter from the Russian Embassy in the U.S., describing it as an "act of giving" without further explanation.
"It's so absolutely, astronomically random that it was hard for me to understand why this happens," Warren said. "Matter of fact, I still don't know why."
The story began over a week before Putin's summit with Trump, when Russian state journalists contacted Warren while he was riding his own Ural motorcycle through downtown Anchorage.
