BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. — A multi-day joint operation done by federal, state, and local law enforcement has now resulted in the arrest of multiple men in Arkansas on charges relating to fraud and scam activities.

According to reports, on August 14, 24-year-old Pruthviraj G. Butiya was arrested in Mountain Home after allegedly arriving at a home to pick up $60,000 in cash as part of a pre-planned arrangement made between a scammer overseas and someone posing as a disabled elderly person.

After the cash was picked up by the suspect posing as a Federal Trade Commission Officer, he fled from the home in a car and was chased by officers.

He was later stopped and apprehended a short while later. Butiya's vehicle was also taken for further investigative purposes. He has since been taken to the Bax
