CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado Springs man was arrested in connection with a theft of over $76,000 from a Cripple Creek casino, according to the Cripple Creek Police Department.

Police said early Monday morning, $76,800 was stolen from J.P. McGill’s Casino in Cripple Creek.

The suspect, 26-year-old Andrew Joel Irvine of Colorado Springs, was arrested in connection with the theft, and police said Irvine is being held at the Teller County Jail.

Irvine was arrested later on the same day of the theft, according to police.

Officers say Cripple Creek police are leading the investigation, and the Colorado Springs Police Department and Colorado Division of Gaming are assisting.
