HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A man acquitted last year on charges related to the 2023 death of his baby has been arrested once again.
Javontae Goldsby was arrested Monday night and charged with neglect of a dependent causing death. He is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Eyewitness News has reached out to Evansville Police for more information.
In 2024, a jury found Goldsby not guilty of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury after his five-month-old son, Jett Leon Goldsby, died from what doctor's described as "catastrophic injuries." The child's mother, Cheyenne Elmore-Sitz, plead guilty to neglect charges in February and is serving two and a half years in prison.
