DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Springboro Police Department announced it made three arrests after a series of alleged mail thefts from the U.S. Post Office’s outdoor blue collection box on Pioneer Boulevard.
The department said these thefts appear to be connected to a larger check fraud operation, which spans across multiple states.
The Springboro Police Department has worked alongside a U.S. Postal Inspector assigned to the Springboro Post Office for this investigation. It said detectives conducted multiple surveillance operations.
On the evening of Sunday, Aug. 17, a detective observed a theft in progress. Officials said three young men were then stopped and arrested.
All three were booked into Warren County Jail pending arraignment on multiple charges.
