The NCAA softball tournament is set for an impactful postseason change with news that the top 32 teams will be seeded in the postseason bracket.
This follows the trend of women’s volleyball and women’s soccer in seeding half of the 64-team field, according to a report from Softball America .
For the last several years, only the top 16 teams have been seeded, and those seeds will continue to be determined as in the past, with each of them hosting a regional.
