BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - As we continue to inch towards the climatological peak of Atlantic hurricane season in early September, activity is staying steady.
Hurricane Erin continues to spin and move parallel to the east coast, producing strong rip currents along the beaches of the Bahamas and most of the US east coastline. There is a possibility of tropical storm conditions in the North Carolina Outer Banks by midweek. By late week, Erin will take a northeasterly turn out to the open Atlantic.
