LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo police chief addressed the community five days after a man was killed in an officer-involved shooting .
On August 18, friends and family of 29-year-old Carlos Fernandez protested outside the Laredo Police Department headquarters , demanding answers regarding his death.
In response to the incident, Laredo Police Chief Miguel Rodriguez addressed the situation and shared the department’s perspective on August 19.
“At this point, what we’re trying to make sure of is that we review the case up to every second that happened,” Rodriguez said.
The department chief provided details in a one-on-one interview with KGNS about the incident that occurred on August 15 . He explained that a sequence of events led the police to Fernandez, during which one officer
