BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Brazos Valley nonprofit is putting out an urgent call for volunteers.
There’s an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a foster child in our community as Voices for Children prepares to kick off its next round of volunteer training after announcing the urgent need for more court-appointed special advocates (CASAs).
What CASAs do is gather information, check on children and other people with special cases, and make recommendations to the court.
The Voices for Children main office is located at 115 N Main St. in Downtown Bryan. (kbtx)
The volunteer serves as an advocate for children and families going through the child protective court system after completing screening and a training program.
